Regents push to make a NY high-school diploma worthless
The state Board of Regents is considering watering down the requirements for the Regents Diploma in New York.
The Education Commissioner and the Regents are being accused of dumbing down education and refusing to insist on effective pedagogy.
The commission's report suggests providing multiple pathways to graduation instead of a standardized approach. [ more ]
